RVN Position

April 2020

We have a full-time opportunity for an RVN to join our team! This post is being re-advertised after we were let down at very short notice.

We would be happy to consider: part-time, locum, or locum with a view to a permanent position in the future.

This role is being offered as a head nurse, deputy head nurse, assistant nurse, or newly qualified nurse position, depending on your experience and preference.

We are a friendly, energetic practice, with a busy caseload.

Are you looking for...

  • Covid-secure working (we have consult 'pods' so no face-to-face client contact)?

  • Supportive management?

  • No ooh or weekends?

  • Clients who really care about their pets?

  • A truly independent clinic, where decisions can be made quickly?

  • Nurse Clinics?

  • Nurse procedures?

  • Happy and friendly staff, who genuinely work together as a team?

  • The opportunity to develop your clinical, training and leadership skills?

  • Very competitive salary?

If so, then do get in touch, and we can have an informal, confidential chat.

You will need to have very high levels of customer service, as our clients expect a gold standard approach to care.

We work cases up fully, and with our visiting referral consultants (including orthopaedics, soft tissue, and cardiology) there is rarely a need to refer our patients elsewhere.

You would be based at both Chertsey Vets and Woodham Lane Vets on a rota. Our two branches are only 10 minutes apart, and work very closely together.

The ability and desire to mentor and train PCAs and VCAs would be an advantage.

There is no weekend rota or out of hours.

We have a very pro-active approach to CPD, and are a friendly practice team, with all the kit you would expect in a modern clinic. We perform minimally-invasive surgery, and have a busy surgical caseload.

We have lots of opportunity for referral level nursing, we run nurse clinics, and would encourage our new RVN to carry out nurse procedures too.

We are looking for someone who has the enthusiasm and ability to look after all aspects of nursing, experience with insurance claims would be an advantage, and this position has the potential to develop into a more senior position in the future.

If you are interested in joining us, please email our practice manager Mati mati@surreyvetgroup.co.uk
